InterContinental Bali Resort Hosts Tree Planting Initiative for Environmental Sustainability

In a collective effort to preserve environmental sustainability, InterContinental Bali Resort conducted a series of tree planting initiatives on Friday, May 24, and May 31, 2024. This event, initiated by the resort’s ownership and stakeholders, took place around the resort grounds and aims to enhance the local environment while raising awareness about the importance of ecological conservation.

This tree planting initiative symbolizes our shared commitment to safeguarding our planet. Trees are essential to our ecosystem, playing a crucial role in purifying the air, mitigating the effects of climate change caused by carbon emissions, and providing habitats for diverse wildlife. By coming together to plant trees, we can make a significant, positive impact on our environment, benefiting future generations.

During the event, approximately 50 varieties of trees, including Mango, Longan, Crystal Herbal Fruit, Water Apple, Chrysanthemum Flower and Avocado trees, were planted around the resort areas. Each species was chosen for its ecological benefits and its contribution to the biodiversity of our resort’s surroundings.

Each associate will name the tree they plant, adding a personal touch to the initiative. This effort is not just about planting trees; it’s about sowing the seeds of a sustainable future. “Amidst the 14 hectares of lush tropical landscape, we are proud to give back to nature and continually demonstrate our full commitment to improving the environment,” said Lilian Christi, Director of Human Resources. “We ensure that our guests can enjoy the lush nature we have to offer during their holiday,” added Lilian.

Together, we can leave a lasting legacy for future generations!
